Hi, I’m Daisy! I am one of the original AAO dogs… way back from 2014-15 when the organization was founded. I came from a meth house and was a teen mom… I was bred before I was one year old and had a litter. My former owner from the meth house tried to run a scam and had someone selling my puppies when they were only three weeks or four weeks old. But AAO got me out and also rescued my pups! Well most of them… three of them were stillborn from when my methhead owner kicked me in the stomach.
So, when Matthew Albert first started fostering me, I was a quiet and reserved dog who didn’t trust men at all. That lasted for like a whole day or two… I realized right away that I was safe there. I had an older Rottie sister named Willow who gave me so much confidence… we used to play so rough but it was so fun!! Willow used to put my whole head in her mouth… she was the best sister anyone can ask for. When she passed suddenly two years ago from cancer at age 8, Matt knew he needed to get to a sanctuary asap… he said he needed land for us and couldn’t wait any longer or lose anyone else. I know he still misses her so much… he has her face tattooed on his arm next to my face!
He tells me Willow is the reason I’m here! He previously had other fosters too but Willow liked me the best… he said he got me for Willow. But he loves me too… I sleep with him and the cats every night. I still am leery of men who I first meet but otherwise than that am the most happy go lucky dog ever. I’m very spoiled and when I don’t want to go somewhere, I pretty much just play dead like in this photo and make Mom or Dad carry me. Other than that, I look forward to running wild in the fields every day and raising hell… that’s what I do!
