I thankfully do not have a back story that is as awful as my friends Daisy and Quica. A couple of weeks before I was born, there was a raid in the Houston area where authorities found Bengal tigers, mountain lions…and 200+ rottweilers!! The Rotties became known as the Texas 200. Lots of rottweiler rescues across the country came to help, one being the fabulous Southern States Rescued Rottweilers. They took in some of the Rottweilers, one being my mom. My mom was pregnant with me and my brothers and sisters. We had the most loving and amazing foster mom, Heather. She nicknamed me Dora the Explorer!! Once I got a little bigger I went to another foster home where I had more dog friends to play with…and then my momma saw my picture on Petfinder…and the rest is history!
I lived in Texas for a while and had 4 dog brothers, Meatball, Dozer, Toby and Oliver…and I ran the show! I would steal all their toys and put them in a pile on the other side of the room. We would play all the time and we loved chasing bubbles and playing in the sprinkler (well except Meatball, he didn’t like to play much). I really loved my brothers…and they of course loved me!
My brother Toby, who was also from Southern States Rescued Rottweilers, got very sick and momma said he is now at the Rainbow Bridge. Momma, Dozer (he was my bestie) and I then moved to Buffalo and my brothers Oliver and Meatball stayed in Texas with their dad. My first Buffalo snow was AMAZING! I ran around and played and played and played. Momma had a hard time getting me to come inside! I still love playing in the snow, especially when I am wearing my pretty pink jacket.
When my momma met daddy and they started talking about a sanctuary, Dozer and I got excited – we would have new friends and lots of room to play!
